Quick Guide for testing realXtend locally

1. Download software

• Before the following steps download both server and client from http://www.realxtend.org/page.php?pg=downloads
• Note that realXtend-server-0.5-BeneathTheWaves.zip contains all 3 servers & sample world preconfigured to run as a standalone server. This download is suggested for most people as their server download!

2. Install and start the server

• Download and unpack the server
• In Windows XP: Run StartStandAloneRexServer.bat
  • In Windows Vista run in administrator mode (right click...)
  • In 64-bit systems start StartStandaloneRexServer_64bit.bat instead
• Wait until all 3 servers are started

3. Install and start the viewer

• User name: testuser@127.0.0.1
• Password: test
• Connect To: Authentication Server Home Grid (Note: Naali doesn't currently support this functionality so just connect to 127.0.0.1 if you are using the new Naali viewer)
• Press connect
